Post Grand Opening Dance Show!

Looks like the Grand Opening of the new dance studio will be Feb 28th Sat. Donations go to Womens Crisis Center! Thinking of doing two dance shows, one at 5pm and the other at 7pm. Any of you beautiful dancers available? Devi, Maia, Idena, Emily, Robyn, etc......This is for a good cause, plus educating Grants Pass Community.

Default Benefit Show Dancers - Send Your Info

We're gearing up to prepare fliers and advertising for the Grand Opening Benefit Show for the Women's Crisis Support Team, so dancers, please send us a small blurb and a photo for the flier.

We do have some pictures but they are from the Community Dance, so if we don't get anything we will use the best we can find.

Deadline for the photos and blurb about yourself is this Friday the 6th as we have someone distributing them at various points in the valley this weekend.

The photo should be at least 2200 pixels wide for best print quality.

MUSIC: Those of you coming to this weekend's Community Dance can bring your music then. We plan to cut all the music to one CD, in order, so there's no confusion. (Don't forget to RSVP for the Community Dance!) Those of you not coming to this weekend's dance can send us a CD or mpg (contact us via PM for best methods for you.) Your originals will be returned.

So far we have:

- Devi Safir
- Suhalia (Kate)
- Maia Alexandra
- Katana
- Isabella
(of course Z and her drummer will be doing something)

We can update the fliers to include any late-comers, but can't insure we'll get them all distributed.

You may post blurbs in this thread, but the photos will get resized, so please send a PM to Z or myself for an email address to send pics to.

See the Dance Studio Page for updated pictures, we've been fine tuning for two weeks and the studio is finished with column motifs and MIRRORS!

Default Fliers and Posters

Here you go, distribute as you can. Not my greatest work but does the job. Had to shorten the copy a bit for the flier but got it all in on the poster. We have a *special someone* distributing the posters in the south end of the valley.

Flier 8.5 X 11 full bleed, high resolution

Poster 11 X 17 full bleed, high resolution

Web Flier 8.5 full bleed, web resolution

Hoping you're on Zarifa's Mailing List as we've sent out her newsletter with info on both this event and Maia's Blade 101 workshop.

I'll *try* to get a page and announcement up this week on the site . . . very busy is Padawan . . .

What's with "Elements in Motion?"

As we started looking at the theme of the dancers coming, we have elements of metal (sword) fire (Zarifa) wind (Sihaya and Katana) Earth (Isabella) but who's doing water? (Unless Maia's doing that awesome thing with the glasses?) So we left it open . . . . but I think it kinda fits.

Sorry, Anubis, but if there's a Fog machine in tow then goblets are out... they'll get slippery!

I can't wait to see what happens.... wait... fog is the element of water, right? right?

<snicker> Fog is optional. :-) It was just an idea, and only on request.

On second thought, it might not be a great idea as there's no 1500 BTU air ducts in a 1930's building, if we add fog . . . it would be a really SMALL amount. The fog is alcohol based, not a lot of moisture or deposits.

OK so how about pyrotechnics?
