Zarifa

Zarifa has been belly dancing for over 15 years and has performed professionally in Reno, Nevada before moving to Grants Pass, Oregon. She teaches classic Egyptian style belly dancing, more attuned to solo dancing as opposed to group dancing.

Zarifa believes that anyone can belly dance. Some are naturally inclined and can pick it up quickly, while others may require more practice to learn the isolated body movements that Zarifa teaches. In either case, belly dancing can help you discover a freedom of movement you never knew your body was capable of.

Many of Zarifa's students enjoy her classes as a fun way to exercise and train their bodies to The Dance as well.

This ancient and magical dance will awaken your creativity and unleash the confidence and grace you never knew you had. Belly dancing is an exercise of both the body and the mind; it can improve your health and release many of the stresses of day to day living.

Beginning through Advanced Classes:

Belly dancing is an expression of mind and body for women, by women, and we have been dancing since the beginning of time, not for men, but for ourselves. Join Zarifa in this rewarding dance Wednesday evenings (beginning classes) or Tuesday & Thursday evenings (intermediate) 6:30-7:30PM, $25 per month (4 classes, once weekly) at her dance studio adjacent to the current metaphysical store.
