Zarifa has been very busy this month, running her business, dancing at the Saturday Market as time allows, dancing through the various festivities for the Memorial Day Boatnik celebration, even at an SCA event held by Shire Myrtleholt, kingdom of An Tir. But we always make time for Zarifa's Community dance!

Amongst the usual solo and troupe perfomances at June's Community dance, participation was the theme as Celia and Anita shared several traditional Greek dances which brought everyone to the floor throughout the evening. It was extremely heartwarming to see Zarifa's Community dance in the full spirit in which she holds it, getting everyone involved in the party. See more pictures and video here. Middle Eastern Rhythm Group - FREE

Every Sunday, 2PM - 5PM, Zarifa's Dance Studio

A growing group of drummers and percussionists gather every Sunday in Zarifa's Dance studio to practice and share their experiences in Middle Eastern rhythms. Not a workshop or seminar, the group concentrates on Middle Eastern rhythms for dancers. If you're local to Grants Pass and are interested in joining, download the flier via the link at the right for details, or just stop by any Sunday between 2 and 5PM at Zarifa's dance studio.

Southern Oregon Yoga Center Yoga Classes

Yoga masters Dina Press and Marggie Wheeler of Southern Oregon Yoga Center hold continuing classes in the dance studio at Zarifa's Touch of Egypt, 914 SW 6th Street, Grants Pass. Zarifa's is thrilled to have such talented experts available in Grants Pass.

FREE Reiki Healings at Zarifa's

Last Saturday of each month, Scott Smith, 20 year Reiki Master

Scott Smith, (Reiki Master and instructor) offers FREE Reiki healings and consultations the last Saturday of each month in Zaifa's dance studio from 1pm to 5pm. A Reiki Master for over 20 years, Scott is an inspiration, a very kind and generous soul offering help others in these hard times. We are blessed to have him with us. Healings are on a first come first served basis. If you are in need of a healing or know of a loved one who can benefit from this free event, or are just curious as to what Reiki is or it's benefits, mark your calendars and stop by.

Saturday, February 6th, personal trainer Ryan Smith, a CPT with N.A.S.M. held a free fitness training demo in the studio at Zarifa's Touch of Egypt in which he shared some excellent training methods and advice to all that attended. Ryan will be holding courses at Zarifa's studio soon, but if you're ready to take the steps to trim off those few pounds, sculpt those abs and get the most out of your daily workout, check back often or contact Zarifa's to hook up with one of the Rogue Valley's best personal trainers.
