Step into Sensual Dance
August 10, 2007 - Zarifa is known in the community as a supporter of the belly dance community and also teaches beginning and intermediate belly dance classes in her small Grants Pass Studio. Grants Pass Courier's Stacy Nadelman writes:
"[Zarifa] tries to keep the old way alive by teaching her students the proper hip, arm, rib, and hand movements. 'Everything in belly dancing is circles and figure eights, and in angulations, which is very healing, very sensual - it's what we are.' "
