Community Belly Dance, Second Sunday

** OCTOBER COMMUNITY DANCE WILL BE HELD ON THE THIRD SUNDAY, OCT. 21 **

August 15, 2007 - We apologize for not posting the updates for July and September yet - we've been extremely busy adding new products and keeping up with sales. We've got some great video and pictures to share, check back soon!

August brought the usual set of dancers and a group performance of intermediate dancers from Zarifa's classes, dancing a routine to Spitfire. Aisha's Oasis made an appearance with a wonderful group zills dance. As always, a great time was had by all.

Zarifa hasn't had enough time to dance - after all, this is a free event to which she dedicates time and effort to set up for dancers. As a result, she's handed the organization and discography over to her husband, who's cueing all the songs. It was a choice, video or dancing - Zarifa loves to dance!

Due to various complaints about the "sound system," in September we added a small Peavey for a PA system, which seems to be working out well. "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?" :-)

Zarifa's Community Dance is a FREE dance event Zarifa has organized for the second Sunday of each month at the G Street Bar and Grill in Grants Pass, Oregon, from 5 - 7 PM. It's simple: show up and dance, no door charges, everyone gets to dance! Beginners and experienced dancers are all welcome.

Zarifa organized this dance event to provide a place for everyone to get together to practice routines, get over stage fright, network with other dancers, or just have fun! All credit for the monthly event goes to our gracious host, the G Street Bar and Grill in Grants Pass, Oregon. Everyone is invited to come in costume (or not,) bring your own music or drummers, and invite friends and family to watch.

Zarifa's a Grandma! This second Sunday I have to take a rare break. (what do I mean rare, first break in two years!) I am flying to San Diego to meet my new grandson, Taiga. See you all on the 21st!
